Today was final assessment day, and it went pretty well for me and everybody. We all passed with a 93% cohort average. I had three wrong answers, and one of them was a bit ambiguous because of the way the question was phrased. It had the word “only” in it, so I was also right in my answer because technically there were more options than “only” one.

I was a bit nervous for the assessment, but now I’m feeling more confident for the rest of the practical exams. Tomorrow we’re gonna have a SOC lab and a malware analysis lab. As I still have some doubts about my Splunk capabilities, I decided to do two TryHackMe labs. One of them was medium level (Volt Typhoon), but I did it fairly quickly, so it gave me confidence to do the next one, which was much, much harder. It’s called Splunk 2, and that one I had already done in the second week of the bootcamp, but I decided to do it again for practice purposes. Kevin said that room was notably harder than the one we’re gonna do, so I’m very happy about that. That lab required some external reading (I had to read a write-up) for me to finish it. Some questions felt impossible to find, but I tried to make sense of them, and I guess I learned something from it.

That was our day. We did the assessment and revision. I’m feeling prepared, but this last week is making me anxious in general. I’m also a bit scared to get into the job hunting part. I’m really hoping I can do something related to Pentesting or Ethical Hacking, or at least an opportunity to start from the bottom and get to Pentesting.

We’ll see how tomorrow goes, though.
